TieTails is born inside a textile plant in León, Guanajuato, Mexico. The rope is twisted, braided, and knotted right here: yarn comes in one door and a toy goes out the other.
Why it matters that the mill is ours
Because we can tell you what every piece is made of without asking anyone, run a color outside the catalog, and restock at the pace of our own production. All three come from owning the plant.
Cotton, dyed in batches
The yarn arrives on cones and is dyed in batches, so one color can shift slightly between runs. It is dyed rope, and we would rather say so before the parcel arrives.
The knot is pulled by hand
It is the step that is still done by hand, and it decides how much the piece takes: a tight knot packs fiber in, and that means more surface for teeth and a longer life.
We also supply businesses
Vet clinics, groomers, daycares, and pet shops order small lots with an invoice. Being the mill is what lets us fill thirty pieces instead of three thousand.
